1) What is a Role Mother?

Role Mothers is an initiative from Market Mall designed to celebrate and encourage women just like you – busy, active moms who find the time to give back to the communities in which they live while teaching their children the importance of giving along the way.

Being a Role Mother is as simple as identifying an opportunity, giving back to our community and sharing your story. Whether it’s a small gesture or a massive undertaking, your ideas may inspire other mothers to become Role Mothers.

2) How do I participate?

Becoming a Role Mother is as easy as it is rewarding. It’s as simple as finding an opportunity either on your own, on our wall, or by using the Volunteer Calgary Tab. Share your story on our Facebook page wall or by email to inspire Calgary moms and families to help create a movement.

You can also enter your email on our Role Mothers Signup section to receive exclusive email updates about news and opportunities, upcoming events, chances to win Cadillac Fairview shop! cards® from Market Mall, charity donations, and more!

3) How do I find an opportunity that will work for my family?

We encourage charity groups to post family-friendly opportunities to our Facebook page wall. Check our page often, or use the Volunteer Calgary tab to discover new opportunities!

4) How do I apply for the volunteer position I am interested in?

You will need to contact the non-profit organization directly with the provided contact information.

5) I don’t have a lot of free time. Are there still opportunities for me?

Definitely! Within the Volunteer Calgary widget, you can select from short-term, mid-term, long-term, and one-day opportunities. And don’t be afraid to ask other groups for flexible options! You can also check out our Facebook page wall for ideas and inspiration.
